Good morning everyone,

I am reaching out to ask for your help in supporting our school cafeteria and the important role it plays in the health and well-being of our students.

Currently, nearly 80% of our students qualify for free meals, including those who qualify for reduced-price meals, which are also provided at no cost to families. This program allows our students to access healthy, nutritious meals prepared each day by our wonderful cafeteria staff.

This year, we have seen a significant decrease in the number of meals being served, which raises concerns for both student nutrition and the long-term sustainability of our cafeteria program. School meal programs rely on the number of meals served in order to receive the funding necessary to support food costs, staffing, and operations.

If your student qualifies for free or reduced meals, we strongly encourage them to take advantage of both breakfast and lunch offered on campus. These meals are available at no cost to your family, and participation helps ensure we can continue providing high-quality meals for all students.

Every meal served supports the cafeteria program by helping cover operational costs and allowing us to maintain meal quality, menu variety, and our dedicated cafeteria staff. Increased participation also helps ensure we can continue offering nutritious meals without needing to make reductions to the program.

We are incredibly proud of the meals our cafeteria team prepares each day and are grateful for your support in encouraging students to participate.

Thank you for helping us ensure that all students have access to healthy meals and that our cafeteria program remains strong.

Hello AUHS Parents and Community Members,

Following the discussion at last nightโ€™s Governing Board meeting, we would like to invite anyone interested in athletics at Antelope Union High School to join us for a follow-up conversation.

We will be holding a community meeting tonight (Tuesday, March 10) at 5:30 PM in the District Board Room. This meeting is not required, but is open to parents, coaches, students, and community members who would like to share feedback, discuss concerns related to athletics, or participate in a constructive conversation following the topics raised at the board meeting.

Our goal is to provide an opportunity for open dialogue and to ensure we hear from our community as we continue to strengthen our athletic programs.

We appreciate your continued support of AUHS and look forward to seeing those who can attend.

Please find the attached announcement in both English and Spanish.

As part of our ongoing commitment to strengthening communication and transparency between Antelope Union High School, our students, families, and the broader community, we are pleased to share that we have relaunched our district app with an enhanced communication feature called Rooms.
